4 years & 4 年賀所 (Nengajo)

In High School I took Japanese every year, from Japanese 1 to AP. Each year, when winter break was just around the corner, our class would draw 年賀状 (nengajo) which is a Japanese new years card that has the corresponding animal of the Chinese zodiac for the upcoming year.
By senior year, I had done all four. When putting them all together, I saw these cards as a good marker for my art improvement each year.

Close Cut is a stop motion shortfilm made by me and three others for a photography class of my junior year.
All the animation frames that were cut out for the production were digitally drawn and animated by me, and my peers cut and shot each frame.

⇩ About me (Deluxe++) ⇩

I am both a traditional and digital artist. Though as of late I've stuck to digital, to which Clip Studio Paint is my main program. My art mainly consists of people, characters, humans, whatever you'd like to call it. Most would deem it to be an "anime" esc style, which I don't mind if it is. I feel like I can replicate other styles pretty well after some practice. For example, many of my recent pieces emulate the Yana Toboso, who created Disney's Twisted wonderland. I'm a huge fan of the game and it's unique style with rendering and expressions captivated me to mimic it with my own art.I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. Though my passion for creating characters and really improving my art really begun in 5th grade. Character Design is one of my biggest passions, I like the challenge of getting a criteria for a character and creating a recognizable and fitting design. Along with that I write and world build about them. Creating stories, well rounded and interesting characters, and the worlds they live in is something I do a lot in my free time.
